It been a long time i was stop chat using IRC. All my computers didn't have irc installed. Now if you did not install irc client software, it not a big problem because you can chat using web base application. One of the best Irc web application i have tested is mibbit.com
just follow the instruction on the web... happy chat... picture below was captured during testing mibbit.com channel #sabah @ irc.webchat.org
