My young brother going to cyber cafe and attach his pen drives to the computer. Unfortunately all his data in the pen drive corrupted , all folder become short cut. If you are facing the same problem, do not panic because your entire file still exists but only hidden by virus.
Follow instructions below :
Start > cmd > and type your pendrive path , I assume your pendrive is G.
Enter this command : attrib -h -r -s /s /d g:\*.*
Done.. :)
double check your pen drive and backup all your data before reformat your pen drive.
Another alternative is open your pendrive in MAC or Linux operating system and delete unknown file or folder.

Today when I try to use my pendrive it was not working and it had a very important data in it. Then I called up my brother and i told him that my pendrive is not working , he gave me the link http://softwaretricks.in/forums/index.php?topic=33.0 where I was able to fix my pendrive issue I hope it works for you too.

It is showing an error like this
"Access denied - F:\$RECYCLE.BIN\S-1-5-21-2360377902-2905118158-1238322942-1000"
i created a folder named autorun.inf, but it is unable to counter the autorun virus in my flash drive, what the virus does is it creates a shortcut icon for my usb and when clicked it opens a new window with my usb files in it. I'ts not harmful but it is very annoying. Tried the steps above in normal and safemode, format flash drive, and scan with anti virus(norton,kaspersky) but nothing helps. Is there another way to remove the virus?
