Kampong Kituau, Sabah

em... baru² ni saya ada semak sitemeter salah satu blog saya iaitu Noni Af5 Blog dan saya amat terkejut apabaila melihat apabila salah seorang pengunjung adalah berasal dari "Kampong Kituau, Sabah". Secara jujur ini adalah pertama kali saya dengar nama kampung ini. Dengan perasaan ingin tahu yang tinggi, saya cuba untuk mencari maklumat mengenai kampung ini, dan apa yang saya dapati ialah kampung ini memang wujud tetapi kenapa saya tidak pernah dengar nama Kampong Kituau sebelum ini. Sebenarnya tidak banyak maklumat yang saya temui mengenai Kampong Kituau ini, sila ke Google. Kebanyakan maklumat yang saya temui, semuanya peta ataupun maps. Malaysian Artist Doing French Kiss-- YouTube

One of the artist doing a French Kiss..huhuhu.. it's that true? I also did not know the answer. This video found in YouTube. Some of them said that the person is Deanna Yussof. Em.. i don't think she is the person, you can found this video on youtube and make your own conclusion. PM to wed on Saturday

Jeanne Abdullah & Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi will marry Jeanne Abdullah this Saturday.
The simple wedding will be held at Seri Perdana and attended by close family members only.

Jeanne, 53, received her education at Sekolah Menengah Assunta and has wide experience in administration and hotel management.

She had also worked as supervisor of the deputy prime minister’s official residence and the manager of the Seri Perdana Complex.

She has two daughters in their late 20s, Nadiah and Nadene, from her previous marriage.
A jovial Abdullah, 67, said he chose Jeanne to be his wife as they were compatible and she would be able to keep him company.

Despite the marriage, Abdullah said his love for his late wife Datin Seri Endon Mahmood would continue to be strong.

"My love for Endon remains as strong as ever. I believe God has created space in our hearts to love many different people."

"You can love your wife, mother, sister, daughter... but we cannot compare the love for your mother with the love for your wife. Jeanne also is a love. God’s will created in us a huge capacity for love," he said after opening the Small- and Medium-scale Industries Exhibition (Smidex) 2007 yesterday.

Endon died on Oct 20, 2005 after a long battle with breast cancer. Abdullah has two children, son Kamaluddin and daughter Nori, from his marriage of 40 years with Endon.

The prime minister broke into laughter several times during the press conference, handling the more than 40 questions thrown at him splendidly.

He even quipped that "a happy prime minister can do a lot of great work".

Abdullah said he had known Jeanne for more than 20 years as she was formerly Endon’s sister-in-law, but love only blossomed between them about a year ago.

"She (Jeanne) loves children, is friendly and knows how to carry herself well. When I was entertaining guests, she was the one who handled all the details, including seat arrangements and caterers.

"She’s a good person and can mix well with people," he said, adding that despite a new person sharing his life, pictures of Endon would remain in his house.

He said he was grateful to Allah that his chosen wife received the blessings from his children and other close family members.

Asked when he proposed to his wife, Abdullah smiled: "I wish I can remember, but I can’t."

He said the wedding would be a simple affair without any hantaran (wedding gifts) or bersanding ceremony. Only close family members, comprising their children, relatives and in-laws, will be present at the akad nikah ceremony.

Asked about his honeymoon plans, Abdullah laughed and said he would need to discuss the matter with his wife-to-be.

He said he did not have any plans to take leave after the wedding as he had numerous overseas working trips that he had to attend to.

"But during my official working visits all over the country, I’ll bring her along to introduce her to the people."

He said he informed the cabinet of his intention to remarry during its weekly meeting before issuing an official statement.

"I hope the rakyat will continue to pray for our well-being," he added.

Earlier, during the Smidex opening ceremony, International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Rafidah Aziz digressed from her official speech to congratulate Abdullah on his marriage on behalf of the delegates present.

While delivering his keynote address, Abdullah thanked everyone for their well-wishes.

"For the Malays, when you are getting married, people like to pull your leg, make fun and tease you, especially when you are marrying for the second time, what more if it is the third and fourth time. I won’t go beyond two," he said to laughter from the floor.

Meanwhile, Abdullah’s son-in-law Khairy Jamaluddin said the entire family was happy with the news.

"My brother-in-law, his wife, my wife Nori and I are happy with the news.

"We fully support his decision to remarry. We have known auntie Jeanne for a long time and we are very close."

Daftar telefon bimbit

Selepas kerajaan mewajibkan pendaftaran nombor telefon bimbit yang berakhir Disember tahun lalu, kira-kira 15.7 juta pengguna perkhidmatan telefon mudah alih prabayar telah mendaftar talian masing-masing. Tujuan kerajaan untuk mewajibkan pendaftaran nombor telefon bimbit adalah untuk mengelakakn jenayah sms dan mms yang semakin berleluasa.

Di Malaysia kini terdapat kira-kira 16 juta pengguna talian prabayar dan 3.4 juta pengguna talian pascabayar, dengan jumlah telefon bimbit dalam pasaran dianggarkan melebihi 20 juta buah. Oleh itu adalah amat sukar untuk mengesan telefon bimbit yang dicuri. Suruhanjaya Komunikasi dan Multimedia Malaysia (SKMM) bercadang mewajibkan pendaftaran hak milik telefon bimbit bagi mengelakkan kes-kes kecurian telefon yang semakin berleluasa sejak akhir-akhir ini. Telefon bimbit kini kian canggih dan semakin mahal. Jadi, perlu ada sistem ‘pengunci’ yang membolehkan pengguna menghalang telefon tersebut daripada digunakan oleh pencuri.Apabila nombor siri telefon bimbit didaftarkan, dengan bantuan teknologi, penggunaannya boleh disekat dari jarak jauh. Pada masa yang sama telefon itu tidak boleh dijual kepada individu lain.

SKMM mendapat idea untuk melaksanakan sistem ini selepas diberi taklimat ketika rombongan melawat pejabat London Metropolitan Police di London pada 24 Mei lalu. Walaubagaimanpun pendaftaran nombor siri telefon bimbit ini baru diperingkat cadangan. Sekiranya ia diluluskan maka, telefon bimbit akan tergolong sebagai hak milik yang wajib didaftarkan dengan SKMM seperti mana kereta dan motosikal yang wajib didaftarkan dengan Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan (JPJ).

Loga, of Alleycats, dies

GEORGE TOWN: Loganathan Arumugam, a founder-member of the popular and widely followed Alleycats pop music band, died after losing a year-long battle with lung cancer.

The 54-year old musician, who was one of the most recognisable local musicians with his trademark Afro hairdo, died at the Mount Miriam Hospital here at 10.50am yesterday.

He died to the tune of a collection of early Alleycats songs being played on a portable disc player placed at his bedside.

Family members said Loga, as he was fondly known, died with a smile listening to his music which brought him and the Alleycats worldwide fame.

He leaves wife, Susan, 50; son Vigneshwaran, 24, and daughter, Priyadashini, 20.

Loga used to play the flute in the band and was also vocalist alongside his brother, David Arumugam, 57.

David said his brother’s death was fated and the family accepted it as the will of God.

"It has been a tough battle but he fought it all the way after learning that he had lung cancer in October last year. He used to smoke but gave it up many years ago," he said when met at the hospital.

The body was later taken to the family home in Jalan Tanjung Bungah here and is expected to be cremated according to Hindu rites at 11am on Wednesday.

Asked on the future of the band, David said Loga had informed him that the Alleycats music should never die.

"We recorded an album last year but its launch was put on hold after Loga was diagnosed with cancer. The launch was supposed to take place when his condition improved," he said, adding Loga’s last stage performance was at the PJ Hilton in October last year.

David said the group had also planned to release a "live" album once Loga’s condition improved and the project was already on the drawing board.

The Alleycats, formed in 1969, has contributed much to the development of the local pop music scene.

The group started by playing in clubs around the country before signing a recording deal with PolyGram Records in 1978. The Alleycats has 29 albums to its credit.

It is one of Malaysia’s favourite bands with evergreen hits like Sampaikan Salam, Andainya Aku Pergi Dulu Sebelum Mu and Sekuntum Mawar Merah. The band until today is regarded as one of the classic Malaysian pop music groups.

Meanwhile Karyawan president Freddie Fernandez said Loga was a versatile and gifted artiste who had "dedicated his life to music and clubs".

"This is very sad news for the Malaysian music industry. The power of Loga’s harmonies with David was awesome and they were famous for getting crowds of all races to enjoy and appreciate their music," he said.

Composer M. Nasir, who co-produced the first Malay album for the Alleycats, Terima Kasih, in 1978, said he spoke to Loga on the phone last week.

"We talked about his illness and the treatment he was taking. He sounded fine at the time and I was confident he would be making full recovery. I will really miss him."

He remembers Loga for his positive outlook on life.

Singer Khadijah Ibrahim recalled meeting Loga with other members of Alleycats at a stage show in 1979. The first thing that struck her was his Afro hairdo.

"I remember him as a very serious person when it came to work. Off stage, he was friendly and charming. I will always remember his zest for life," she said.

For singer Francissca Peter, Loga was an intelligent musician who never stopped working to make the Alleycats music relevant to today’s audiences.

"Even the younger generation knows Alleycats. A musician like Loga is a rare commodity," said Fran, who got to know Loga and David in the late 1970s when they performed together at stage shows.
